Just because you can... ?

Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. Creative restraint is knowing when to sit on an idea and when to leave it in the back room or at least on the back burner.

Google has "pulled" their lookahead Web Accellerator tool, removing the download links to try it out.  The experimental tool was designed to cache commonly accessed web resources. Google says they have reached their limited capacity of beta users, but it's also quite possible that some serious security and privacy concerns are also at play, which have not been fully addressed in the descriptions offered by Google.
